Great compromise between a sleeve and a laptop bag, November 25, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Timbuk2 Quickie Bag (Sports) When I purchased a new laptop (15.6" 16:9 screen, 15"W X 10"D x 1.34"H), I was looking for a sleeve with a handle. It turns out these are hard to find, and even harder to find one that fits a "wide-screen" 16:9 laptops. I'm a huge Timbuk2 fan and have three other Timbuk2 bags, so I'm already familiar with the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of their products. I wanted something small, so it doesn't have a lot of padding or protection, but I'm not throwing my laptop around, either. The Quickie is great for carring my computer on its own, or for putting in to a larger bag. It's a little big for my medium Timbuk2 Classic Messenger (not the bag's fault; mine for choosing a bigger laptop), but should work fine in a large, and fits fine in a regular backpack.
Minus one star: I found out the hard way that the sizing guide on Timbuk2's website is wrong. I chose my model of computer (Acer 5552-7650) and it told me I needed a large, which was WAY too big. Turns out the... Read more

I am a huge fan of Timbuk2 and always check their products first when I need a new bag, especially for electronics. I like this bag because it's basic. It's slim and easy to carry and still has room for my power cord and mouse. I like the inside shock absorber bubbles, offers some more protection. I usually use this one for around the house so I can carry my computer from upstairs to downstairs. May seem a bit overboard for home use, but when you have a newborn and a toddler to transport from the playroom to the bedroom, it's nice to be hands free and still have everything in it's place. Most of the time I load this bag up with the computer, burp cloths, a water bottle, nursing cover, toys, leave it unzipped and throw it over my shoulder, get a baby in each arm and upstairs we go! LoL I have also made runs to a relative's house or to the library and it worked perfectly then for a computer bag... Read more
