Meh. Try someone's out first if you can to see if you like it., November 1, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Twelve South (12-1002) BookBook, 13-inch Hardback Leather Case for 13-inch MacBook Pro, Red (Personal Computers) I gave Twelve South a chance with the BookBook iPhone 4 case, and I was extremely impressed with the quality and build of the product. Thus, giving this thing a shot was a no brainer.
I placed my macbook in it, picked it up and the one thing that I can say is it makes your macbook pro HUGE, not heavy, just huge. Seriously. If you are a college student and have something like a calculus textbook, you need to think long and hard about whether or not you want to tote around what equates to another massive book.
In regards to the fit- I didn't get the sense that the zippers would last very long. For $80, this thing should last until your next laptop and be as close to a perfect fit as could be. I've always been a huge InCase fan because their stuff lasts and is high quality.
The zippers and teeth get caught when I'm trying to close the laptop. The zipper tabs feel like pleather dipped in red paint. When opening the case itself, I question how long the... Read more

It goes very well with the color scheme of my bedroom, and it fits in well with the trove of books I've been collecting since my family moved. However, the case fits VERY tightly around my macbook 13" (aluminum body), and, at one point, the zipper "broke" (it became unattached from itself, while it was still zipped, though I managed to fix this). The zipper's not as inconspicuous as I'd hoped it would be, too, but this isn't affecting my scoring. :-) (Just an added note). I don't intend to return this product, though I'm rather disappointed it's not the best fit for my laptop.
No gripes about the seller. Shipping was on-time and the packaging was very clean and professionally wrapped.
I'd recommend this, though I'm not sure I'd buy the same size.

Not only is it beautiful, it is very durable! The inside is soft and the outside is hard. many people ask me what book I could possibly be reading! :) Best Case EVER
